Key Responsibilities
- Perform routine preventative maintenance on a wide range of HVAC systems, including boilers, chillers, air handling units, and refrigeration equipment.
- Diagnose and troubleshoot complex mechanical and electrical faults in HVAC systems efficiently and accurately.
- Execute repairs, replacements, and installations of HVAC components and complete systems.
- Conduct thorough inspections and testing of HVAC systems to ensure optimal performance, efficiency, and compliance with safety standards.
- Maintain detailed records of all service, maintenance, and repair work performed.
- Provide exceptional customer service, explaining technical issues clearly and offering effective solutions.
- Respond promptly to emergency service calls, demonstrating adaptability and problem-solving skills.
- Adhere strictly to all health, safety, and environmental regulations and company policies.
- Collaborate effectively with team members and other trades to ensure seamless project execution and client satisfaction.
- Stay updated with industry trends, new technologies, and best practices in HVAC.
- Manage and maintain inventory of parts and tools in your assigned vehicle.
Required Skills
- Proven experience as an HVAC Technician with relevant certifications (e.g., F-Gas, City & Guilds Level 2/3 in Refrigeration and Air Conditioning or equivalent).
- Strong understanding of HVAC electrical, mechanical, and control systems.
- Excellent diagnostic and troubleshooting skills.
- Proficiency in reading blueprints, schematics, and wiring diagrams.
- Valid UK driving license.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Commitment to health and safety standards.
- Physical ability to perform duties, including lifting, climbing, and working in various environments.
Preferred Qualifications
- NVQ Level 3 in Heating and Ventilation or equivalent.
