As an IAM Specialist, you will be instrumental in protecting our digital perimeter from evolving threats by enforcing strict access policies and continuously improving our security posture. Key Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and manage IAM solutions and technologies across the enterprise.
- Develop, enforce, and maintain identity and access governance policies, procedures, and standards.
- Administer user identities, roles, and access privileges across various IT systems and applications.
- Conduct regular access reviews and audits to ensure compliance with internal policies and regulatory requirements.
- Monitor IAM systems for security incidents, alerts, and performance issues, escalating and resolving as necessary.
- Collaborate with IT operations, development teams, and business units to integrate new applications into the IAM framework.
- Provide expert support and troubleshooting for complex IAM-related issues and access problems.
- Participate in security awareness training initiatives and promote best practices for identity and access management.
- Stay informed about emerging IAM trends, technologies, and threat vectors to continuously improve our security posture.
- Contribute to the development and maintenance of comprehensive IAM documentation, including architecture diagrams and operational guides.
Required Skills
- Strong practical experience with core IAM concepts (e.g., identity lifecycle management, access governance, SSO, MFA, Federation).
- Proficiency with industry-leading IAM platforms (e.g., Okta, Azure AD, SailPoint, CyberArk, Ping Identity).
- Solid understanding of security protocols such as SAML, OAuth, and OpenID Connect.
- Extensive experience with directory services including LDAP and Active Directory.
- Knowledge of scripting languages (e.g., PowerShell, Python) for automation of IAM processes.
- Familiarity with regulatory compliance standards (e.g., GDPR, ISO 27001, PCI DSS) as they relate to IAM.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities with a keen eye for detail.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, capable of explaining complex technical issues to non-technical stakeholders.
Preferred Qualifications
- Relevant industry certifications (e.g., CISSP, CISM, CompTIA Security+, Certified Identity and Access Manager).
- Experience with cloud-native IAM solutions (e.g., AWS IAM, Azure AD PIM, Google Cloud IAM).
- Knowledge of Privileged Access Management (PAM) solutions and best practices.
- Experience with database security and access controls.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or a related technical field.
