Job Description

Bolloré Logistics Mauritius is seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Import Export Coordinator to join our vibrant team in Ébène. This pivotal role involves managing the end-to-end import and export processes, ensuring the smooth and efficient movement of goods across borders. The successful candidate will be instrumental in coordinating with various stakeholders, including clients, customs authorities, shipping lines, and internal departments, to facilitate timely and compliant shipments. Key Responsibilities

  • Coordinate and oversee all import and export shipments from initiation to final delivery.
  • Prepare, review, and process all necessary documentation, including customs declarations, bills of lading, commercial invoices, packing lists, and certificates of origin.
  • Ensure compliance with all local and international customs regulations, trade agreements, and company policies.
  • Liaise effectively with clients, freight forwarders, carriers, customs brokers, and internal teams to ensure seamless operations.
  • Track and monitor shipment status, providing regular updates to clients and internal stakeholders.
  • Resolve any logistical issues, delays, or discrepancies that may arise during transit.
  • Calculate and manage customs duties, taxes, and other applicable charges.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of all shipping activities and documentation.
  • Assist in optimizing logistics processes to enhance efficiency and reduce costs.
  • Stay informed about changes in import/export regulations and industry best practices.

Required Skills

  • Proven experience (minimum 2 years) as an Import Export Coordinator or similar role.
  • In-depth knowledge of international trade terms (Incoterms), customs procedures, and shipping documentation.
  • Familiarity with Mauritian customs regulations and import/export compliance.
  • Proficiency in logistics software and Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook).
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong organizational skills with an ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines.
  • Detail-oriented with a high level of accuracy.
  • Problem-solving aptitude and ability to work under pressure.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, International Business, or a related field.
  • Certification in Customs Brokerage or Freight Forwarding.

  • Fluency in French and English (both written and spoken).
