Job Description
This is an exciting opportunity for a talented and passionate Industrial Designer to join our innovative team in Nuremberg, Bavaria. Key Responsibilities
- Conceptualize and develop innovative product designs from initial brief to final production.
- Create sketches, wireframes, storyboards, user flows, process flows and site maps to effectively communicate interaction and design ideas.
- Develop detailed 3D models and photorealistic renderings using industry-standard software.
- Conduct research on market trends, user needs, and competitor products to inform design decisions.
- Collaborate closely with engineering, manufacturing, and marketing teams to ensure design feasibility, manufacturability, and market appeal.
- Prepare and present design concepts, mock-ups, and prototypes to internal stakeholders.
- Iterate on designs based on feedback, technical constraints, and user testing results.
- Specify materials, colors, finishes, and manufacturing processes for product components.
- Ensure all designs align with brand guidelines and contribute to a cohesive product family aesthetic.
- Stay updated with the latest design tools, techniques, and industry best practices.
Required Skills
- Proficiency in 3D CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks, Rhino, Fusion 360, CATIA)
- Strong sketching and ideation abilities
- Excellent visual communication and presentation skills
- Expertise in rendering software (e.g., Keyshot, V-Ray, Blender)
- Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign)
- Understanding of manufacturing processes (e.g., injection molding, sheet metal fabrication, machining)
- Knowledge of materials science and selection
