You will be responsible for interpreting electrical schematics, blueprints, and technical manuals to accurately diagnose problems and execute repairs. Key Responsibilities
- Perform routine, preventative, and predictive maintenance on industrial electrical systems, machinery, and equipment.
- Diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair electrical malfunctions in industrial automation systems, including PLCs, motor control centers, and HMI interfaces.
- Install, test, and commission new electrical components, wiring, and control panels in accordance with specifications and industry standards.
- Read, interpret, and update electrical schematics, blueprints, and technical documentation.
- Ensure all electrical work complies with national and local electrical codes (e.g., VDE, DGUV) and company safety procedures.
- Calibrate and test electrical instrumentation and control devices to ensure accuracy and optimal performance.
- Collaborate effectively with production, engineering, and maintenance teams to minimize downtime and enhance operational efficiency.
- Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, repairs performed, and parts utilized.
- Proactively identify potential electrical hazards and implement corrective actions.
Required Skills
- Proven experience as an Industrial Electrician or similar role, preferably in a manufacturing or production environment.
- Strong proficiency in reading and interpreting electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and technical manuals.
- Demonstrable experience with PLC programming, troubleshooting, and fault diagnosis (e.g., Siemens S7, Allen-Bradley Logix platforms).
- In-depth knowledge of industrial control systems, motors, drives (VFDs), sensors, and instrumentation.
- Excellent diagnostic and problem-solving skills for complex electrical issues.
- Solid understanding and adherence to safety regulations and electrical codes (VDE, DGUV).
- Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team.
- Relevant electrical vocational training or certification (e.g., Elektroniker für Betriebstechnik).
Preferred Qualifications
- Further qualification as a Master Electrician (Elektromeister).
- Experience with robotics and robotic integration.
