Job Description
ZB Bank is seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Information Security Analyst to join our growing IT security team in Chinhoyi, Mashonaland West Province. In this critical role, you will be instrumental in protecting our digital assets, customer data, and financial systems from evolving cyber threats. You will contribute to the development, implementation, and maintenance of our information security policies, procedures, and systems. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of cybersecurity principles, excellent analytical skills, and a proactive approach to identifying and mitigating security risks. Key Responsibilities
- Monitor security systems for anomalies and respond to security incidents, alerts, and investigations promptly.
- Perform vulnerability assessments and penetration testing to identify and address security weaknesses in systems and applications.
- Assist in the development, implementation, and enforcement of information security policies, standards, and guidelines.
- Conduct security awareness training for employees to foster a culture of cybersecurity within the organization.
- Manage and maintain security tools, including firewalls, intrusion detection/prevention systems (IDPS), SIEM, and antivirus software.
- Evaluate new security technologies and recommend solutions to enhance the bank’s security posture.
- Collaborate with IT and business units to ensure security requirements are integrated into new projects and systems.
- Prepare detailed reports on security incidents, vulnerabilities, and compliance status for management.
Required Skills
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Cybersecurity, or a related field.
- Minimum 3 years of experience in an information security role.
- Proficiency in security tools and technologies (e.g., SIEM, firewalls, IDPS, vulnerability scanners).
- Strong understanding of network protocols, operating systems (Windows, Linux), and cloud security concepts.
- Familiarity with cybersecurity frameworks (e.g., ISO 27001, NIST, PCI DSS).
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
Preferred Qualifications
- Relevant professional certifications (e.g., CompTIA Security+, CEH, CISM, CISSP).
- Experience in the financial services industry.
- Knowledge of scripting languages (e.g., Python, PowerShell) for automation and analysis.
- Experience with incident response and forensic investigations.
