Key Responsibilities
- Identify client insurance needs and recommend suitable policy solutions (life, health, property, motor, general liability, etc.).
- Explain policy features, benefits, exclusions, and terms clearly and accurately to prospective and existing clients.
- Assist clients with policy applications, renewals, endorsements, and cancellations.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for clients regarding claims, guiding them through the entire claims process.
- Gather and verify all necessary documentation for claims submission, ensuring accuracy and completeness.
- Liaise effectively with claims adjusters, underwriters, and other internal departments or external parties to facilitate claim resolution.
- Provide regular updates to clients on their claim status and address any queries or concerns promptly and professionally.
- Act as a client advocate to ensure fair and timely settlement of claims.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of insurance products, market trends, and industry regulations.
- Cultivate strong, long-term relationships with clients through exceptional service and proactive communication.
- Achieve and exceed sales and client retention targets.
Required Skills
- Proven experience as an Insurance Advisor, specifically in policy sales and claims management.
- In-depth knowledge of various insurance products (e.g., life, health, property, motor).
- Strong understanding of insurance laws, regulations, and ethical guidelines in Mauritius.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to explain complex information clearly.
- Exceptional client service and relationship-building abilities.
- Demonstrated problem-solving and negotiation skills, particularly in claims handling.
- High level of integrity, empathy, and professional ethics.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook).
