Career.zycto is seeking a dynamic Insurance Agent specializing in Sales & Claims to join our network of top-tier insurance partners in Constant Spring, Kingston. As an Insurance Agent, you will be at the forefront of our client engagement, responsible for both generating new business through proactive sales efforts and guiding clients through the claims process. Your primary objective will be to identify client needs, present suitable insurance products (life, health, property & casualty), and build lasting relationships based on trust and exceptional service. You will become a trusted advisor, helping individuals and businesses understand their risks and the best solutions to mitigate them.

This role demands excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills, coupled with a genuine desire to make a difference in people’s lives. You’ll engage with prospective clients through various channels, including referrals, networking events, and direct outreach. Beyond sales, you’ll also assist clients with filing claims, ensuring a smooth, empathetic, and efficient experience during their time of need. This dual focus provides a comprehensive understanding of the insurance lifecycle and allows you to truly partner with your clients from policy inception to resolution. Key Responsibilities

  • Proactively identify and develop new client leads through networking, referrals, and direct prospecting.
  • Conduct thorough needs assessments to understand client insurance requirements and financial goals.
  • Present tailored insurance product solutions (e.g., life, health, general insurance) clearly and persuasively.
  • Negotiate policy terms and close sales effectively to achieve and exceed sales targets.
  • Build and maintain strong, long-term relationships with clients through exceptional service and regular follow-ups.
  • Assist clients with the insurance claims process, providing guidance and support from initial filing to resolution.
  • Maintain accurate records of client interactions, policies, and claims in accordance with company standards.
  • Stay informed on industry trends, product developments, and regulatory changes.
  • Participate in ongoing training and professional development programs.
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant industry regulations and ethical guidelines.

Required Skills

  • Proven track record in sales, customer service, or a related field (preferably insurance).
  • Exceptional communication, presentation, and negotiation skills.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build rapport quickly.
  • Self-motivated, goal-oriented, and highly resilient.
  • Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
  • Proficiency in basic computer applications (MS Office Suite, CRM software).
  • Valid driver's license and access to a reliable vehicle.
  • Fluency in English (written and verbal).

Preferred Qualifications

  • Prior experience as an Insurance Agent or Financial Advisor.
  • Knowledge of various insurance products and policies specific to the Jamaican market.
  • Completed industry-specific certifications (e.g., LUTC, AIPC).
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Finance, or a related field.
  • Experience with CRM systems and sales pipeline management.
