Job Description

Career.zycto is seeking highly motivated and results-driven Insurance Agents to join our growing team in Temple Hall, St. Andrew. This pivotal commission-based role offers an exceptional opportunity for individuals with a passion for sales, a commitment to client advocacy, and a keen understanding of insurance products. As an Insurance Agent, you will be instrumental in expanding our client base, meticulously managing the sales process from lead generation to policy issuance, and providing compassionate and efficient support during the claims process.

You will be responsible for identifying prospective clients, understanding their unique insurance needs, and recommending tailored solutions across various product lines including life, health, property, and casualty insurance. A significant part of this role involves educating clients on the benefits of different policies and clearly explaining terms and conditions. Furthermore, you will serve as a crucial point of contact for clients filing claims, guiding them through the necessary procedures, ensuring all documentation is accurate and submitted promptly, and advocating on their behalf to facilitate a smooth and fair resolution. This dual focus on both sales and claims management requires a professional with excellent interpersonal skills, strong ethical judgment, and a proactive approach to problem-solving. Key Responsibilities

  • Proactively identify and cultivate new sales leads through various channels including networking, referrals, and community engagement within Temple Hall and surrounding areas.
  • Conduct thorough needs assessments with potential clients to understand their financial goals and risk management requirements.
  • Present and explain suitable insurance products (life, health, property, auto, etc.) in a clear, concise, and compelling manner.
  • Negotiate policy terms and finalize sales, ensuring all paperwork is accurately completed and submitted in compliance with company and regulatory standards.
  • Provide exceptional post-sales service, including policy reviews, updates, and client relationship management to foster long-term loyalty.

  • Maintain detailed records of client interactions, sales activities, and claims progress using CRM software.
  • Stay informed about industry trends, new products, and regulatory changes to provide expert advice.

Required Skills

  • Proven track record in sales, preferably in insurance or financial services.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Finance, or a related field.
  • Valid Insurance Agent License in Jamaica.
  • Previous experience specifically in both insurance sales and claims processing.
  • Familiarity with the Temple Hall, St. Andrew community and local market dynamics.
  • Bilingual proficiency (e.g., English and Jamaican Patois) to better serve a diverse client base.
