Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated and proactive Insurance Sales Support professional to join our dynamic team in Zanzibar. This full-time, on-site role is pivotal in ensuring the smooth operation of our sales efforts, directly impacting our ability to serve clients, particularly those in the Bawe Beach area and wider Zanzibar community. You will be the crucial link between our sales agents and our valued customers, providing comprehensive administrative, logistical, and communicative assistance. Key Responsibilities

  • Provide comprehensive administrative support to the sales team, including preparing proposals, presentations, and policy documents.
  • Act as a primary point of contact for client inquiries, directing them appropriately or resolving issues promptly and professionally.
  • Assist in the onboarding process for new clients, ensuring all necessary documentation is completed accurately and submitted efficiently.
  • Maintain and update client databases (CRM) with accurate information, ensuring data integrity and facilitating effective follow-ups.
  • Coordinate sales appointments, meetings, and client visits, managing calendars and logistics for sales agents.
  • Process policy renewals, endorsements, and claims documentation, ensuring compliance with company procedures and regulatory requirements.
  • Generate sales reports and analyze data to identify trends and support strategic decision-making by the sales management.
  • Collaborate with other departments (underwriting, claims) to ensure seamless service delivery to clients.

Required Skills

  • Minimum 1 year of experience in an administrative or sales support role, preferably within the insurance or financial services sector.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills in English and Swahili.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to manage multiple tasks concurrently.
  • Customer-service oriented mindset with a proactive and problem-solving approach.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Diploma or Certificate in Insurance, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Familiarity with CRM software and insurance policy management systems.
  • Knowledge of the local Zanzibar market and its unique client needs.
  • Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team environment.
