Key Responsibilities
- Conduct initial client consultations to understand project scope, design preferences, budget, and timeline for home improvement projects.
- Develop detailed design concepts, including space plans, mood boards, 2D/3D renderings, and material specifications.
- Source and select furniture, fixtures, equipment (FF&E), finishes, and decor items from a wide range of suppliers.
- Prepare comprehensive design presentations for clients, incorporating feedback and making revisions as necessary.
- Manage project timelines and budgets, ensuring designs are delivered on schedule and within financial parameters.
- Collaborate effectively with contractors, architects, vendors, and other tradespeople throughout the project lifecycle.
- Oversee the implementation of designs, including on-site visits, staging, and final styling to ensure quality and adherence to design intent.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of interior design trends, materials, and technologies in the home improvement sector.
Required Skills
- Proven experience in residential interior design and home improvement projects.
- Proficiency in design software (e.g., AutoCAD, SketchUp, Adobe Creative Suite, Revit).
- Strong understanding of space planning, color theory, lighting design, and material specifications.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
