Career.zycto is seeking a talented and visionary Interior Designer specializing in Space & Aesthetic Planning to join our thriving team in Digbeth, Birmingham. This pivotal role involves leading design projects from initial concept through to successful completion, ensuring that every space we touch is not only visually stunning but also highly functional and aligned with our clients’ strategic goals. Key Responsibilities

  • Lead conceptual design development, including space planning, layout optimization, and aesthetic direction for diverse projects.
  • Produce detailed design documentation, including floor plans, elevations, sections, and 3D renderings using industry-standard software.
  • Source and specify furniture, fixtures, equipment (FF&E), materials, and finishes that align with project briefs and budgets.
  • Prepare and deliver compelling client presentations, effectively communicating design concepts and rationale.
  • Collaborate closely with clients, architects, contractors, and suppliers to ensure seamless project execution.
  • Manage project timelines, budgets, and resources efficiently, ensuring projects are delivered on schedule and within scope.
  • Conduct site visits and surveys to assess existing conditions and monitor design implementation.
  • Stay abreast of current design trends, materials, and technologies, integrating innovative solutions into projects.
  • Develop and maintain strong client relationships, acting as a trusted advisor throughout the design process.

Required Skills

  • Proficiency in AutoCAD, SketchUp, Revit, or similar CAD software.
  • Strong portfolio showcasing a range of interior design projects, with an emphasis on space planning and aesthetic development.
  • Excellent understanding of design principles, color theory, material properties, and FF&E specifications.
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills for client presentations and team collaboration.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple projects concurrently and meet tight deadlines.
  • Problem-solving aptitude and a meticulous attention to detail.
  • Creative flair, imagination, and artistic ability.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Interior Design, Interior Architecture, or a related field.
  • Experience with rendering software such as V-Ray, Enscape, or Lumion.
  • Knowledge of building codes, accessibility standards, and regulatory requirements.
  • Experience in sustainable design practices and materials.
  • Professional certification (e.g., NCIDQ, BIID) is a plus.
