Key Responsibilities

  • Assist with receiving, unpacking, and checking goods against invoices and purchase orders.
  • Accurately record incoming and outgoing inventory using established procedures and systems.
  • Conduct regular stock counts and reconcile discrepancies to maintain accurate inventory levels.
  • Organise and maintain the warehouse and storage areas for optimal efficiency and safety.
  • Prepare orders for dispatch, ensuring correct items and quantities are picked and packed.
  • Support the resolution of inventory-related issues, such as damaged goods or missing items.
  • Utilise inventory management software for data entry and report generation after training.
  • Adhere to all health, safety, and security policies and procedures within the warehouse.

Required Skills

  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Basic computer literacy (Microsoft Office Suite, willingness to learn new software).
  • Good organisational and time management skills.
  • Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Physical ability to lift and move packages up to 25kg and stand for extended periods.
  • A proactive and positive attitude with a strong eagerness to learn.

Preferred Qualifications

  • GCSEs or equivalent, including English and Maths.
  • Previous experience in a warehouse or retail environment (even if not inventory-specific).
  • Knowledge of basic inventory principles (advantageous but not essential).
