Job Description

Are you a meticulous and highly organized individual with a passion for precision? Wisynco Group Limited is seeking a dedicated Inventory Control Assistant to join our robust supply chain team in De La Vega City, Spanish Town. In this critical role, you will be instrumental in maintaining accurate inventory records, ensuring optimal stock levels, and supporting the seamless flow of goods through our distribution network. The ideal candidate will possess a keen eye for detail, strong analytical skills, and a proactive approach to problem-solving in a fast-paced environment.

As an Inventory Control Assistant, you will play a vital part in upholding our operational efficiency and contributing directly to our customer satisfaction. Your day-to-day will involve hands-on verification, data entry, reconciliation, and reporting, all aimed at safeguarding our assets and supporting timely order fulfillment. This position demands a high degree of accuracy and a proactive mindset to anticipate and address potential inventory challenges before they escalate. You will collaborate extensively with various departments, including warehousing, logistics, and procurement, ensuring that inventory information is consistently updated and aligned across all systems. Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct daily cycle counts and physical inventory checks, ensuring accuracy and consistency between physical stock and system records.
  • Investigate and reconcile inventory discrepancies, identifying root causes and implementing corrective actions to prevent recurrence.
  • Process and verify incoming and outgoing inventory, ensuring all products are correctly recorded, labelled, and stored according to company standards.
  • Maintain precise inventory databases using our warehouse management system (WMS) and other relevant software, ensuring real-time accuracy.
  • Generate regular inventory reports, including stock levels, movement, aging analysis, and obsolescence forecasts, for management review and decision-making.
  • Collaborate closely with warehousing, logistics, and procurement teams to optimize inventory flow, storage efficiency, and minimize holding costs.
  • Assist in the preparation and execution of periodic full inventory audits, providing support and ensuring a smooth audit process.
  • Ensure compliance with all company inventory control policies and procedures, as well as relevant health, safety, and quality standards.
  • Identify opportunities for process improvements within inventory management and actively contribute to their successful implementation.
  • Support other ad-hoc tasks and projects as required by the Inventory Control Supervisor, demonstrating flexibility and adaptability.

Required Skills

  • Proven experience of at least 1.5 years (18 months) in inventory management or a similar supply chain role.
  • Strong proficiency in using Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) and inventory tracking software.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy in data entry, record-keeping, and reconciliation.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities with a proactive approach.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel for data analysis and reporting.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and effectively as part of a team in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
  • Good communication skills, both written and verbal, for effective internal and external interaction.
  • Ability to perform physical tasks associated with warehouse operations, including lifting, bending, and standing for extended periods.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Associate's degree or higher in Business Administration, Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
  • Certification in Inventory Management (e.g., APICS CSCP or CPIM).
  • Experience with specific WMS platforms used in large-scale distribution or manufacturing environments.
  • Forklift operator certification (or willingness to obtain one through company training).
  • Prior experience in the FMCG (Fast-Moving Consumer Goods) sector, understanding its unique inventory challenges.
