Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct daily, weekly, and monthly cycle counts and physical inventory counts to ensure accuracy.
  • Investigate and resolve inventory discrepancies, including root cause analysis and corrective action implementation.
  • Monitor stock levels and reconcile them against system records, purchase orders, and sales orders.
  • Generate and analyse inventory reports to identify trends, forecast needs, and inform purchasing decisions.
  • Process inbound and outbound inventory transactions, including receipts, transfers, and shipments.
  • Maintain accurate inventory data within the warehouse management system (WMS).
  • Collaborate with warehouse, procurement, and sales teams to optimise inventory flow and space utilisation.
  • Assist in the development and implementation of inventory control policies and procedures.
  • Ensure compliance with safety regulations and company policies within the warehouse environment.

Required Skills

  • Proven experience as an Inventory Control Clerk or similar role in a warehouse setting.
  • Strong understanding of inventory management principles and best practices.
  • Proficiency in using Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) and Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and record-keeping.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications

  • A-levels or equivalent qualification.
  • Experience with SAP or other major ERP systems.
  • Forklift certification or experience operating other material handling equipment.
  • Knowledge of supply chain processes and logistics.
