Job Description

We are seeking a meticulous and highly organized Inventory Controller to join our operations at our Le Hochet facility. This pivotal role is responsible for overseeing and optimizing all aspects of our warehouse inventory, ensuring unparalleled accuracy and efficiency across our supply chain. As an Inventory Controller, you will be the cornerstone of our stock management, from the meticulous reception of goods to their precise dispatch, maintaining seamless material flow. You will be instrumental in ensuring optimal inventory levels, drastically minimizing discrepancies, and diligently implementing best practices in stock control that align with our operational goals.

This position demands an exceptional eye for detail, strong analytical capabilities, and proven proficiency in advanced inventory management systems. You will work in close collaboration with our dedicated warehouse, procurement, and logistics teams to guarantee that all inventory data is consistently precise, critical reports are generated punctually, and our overall operational efficiency is continually enhanced. Key Responsibilities

  • Monitor and maintain accurate inventory records across all product categories, ensuring absolute consistency between physical stock counts and system data.
  • Conduct regular cycle counts and comprehensive full physical inventories, diligently investigating and reconciling any discrepancies promptly and effectively.
  • Oversee the precise receiving, systematic storage, and efficient dispatch of goods, ensuring proper identification, labeling, and optimal placement within the warehouse.
  • Implement and rigorously enforce robust inventory control procedures and best practices to optimize stock levels, prevent obsolescence, and minimize waste.
  • Generate, analyze, and interpret detailed inventory reports (e.g., stock aging, slow-moving items, out-of-stock situations, excess stock) to inform strategic purchasing decisions and operational strategies.
  • Collaborate proactively with procurement, warehouse, and sales teams to accurately forecast demand, manage replenishment cycles, and streamline overall supply chain processes.
  • Manage the processes for returns and defective goods, ensuring proper documentation, inspection, and timely disposition.
  • Operate and maintain inventory management software (WMS/ERP) with a high level of proficiency and data integrity.
  • Identify and champion continuous improvement opportunities within the inventory control function, suggesting and implementing innovative solutions.
  • Ensure strict compliance with all safety regulations and company policies within the dynamic warehouse environment.

Required Skills

  • Proven experience (minimum 3 years) as an Inventory Controller or in a similar critical role within a busy warehouse or supply chain environment.
  • Advanced proficiency in inventory management systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, Microsoft Dynamics, or similar WMS/ERP solutions).
  • Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills, coupled with meticulous attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication and strong interpersonal skills, capable of fostering effective collaboration across diverse departments.
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills for sophisticated data analysis, reporting, and dashboard creation.
  • Solid understanding of modern warehouse operations, fundamental supply chain principles, and inventory control best practices.
  • Demonstrated ability to work both independently and collaboratively as part of a team in a demanding, fast-paced operational environment.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a closely related field.
  • Professional certification in Inventory Management (e.g., APICS CPIM, CSCP) would be a significant advantage.
  • Prior experience with lean inventory principles, Six Sigma, or other continuous improvement methodologies.
  • Valid forklift certification or previous experience operating various warehouse equipment.
