Job Description

We are seeking a highly meticulous and experienced Inventory Controller to join our dynamic warehouse and supply chain team in Bassin, Quatre Bornes. The successful candidate will be instrumental in managing and optimizing our inventory levels, ensuring accuracy, and supporting the seamless flow of goods through our supply chain. This pivotal role involves overseeing all aspects of inventory, from receiving and storage to dispatch and reconciliation. You will be responsible for implementing robust inventory control procedures, utilizing our inventory management systems effectively, and collaborating closely with various departments to maintain optimal stock levels while minimizing waste and maximizing efficiency. Key Responsibilities

  • Manage and maintain accurate inventory records across all warehouse locations using our inventory management system.
  • Perform regular stock counts, cycle counts, and investigate discrepancies, implementing corrective actions to ensure data integrity.
  • Monitor inventory levels to prevent stockouts and overstock situations, coordinating with procurement and sales teams.
  • Oversee the receiving, storage, and dispatch of goods, ensuring adherence to company procedures and quality standards.
  • Optimize warehouse layout and storage methods to improve efficiency and accessibility of inventory.
  • Prepare comprehensive inventory reports, analyze trends, and provide recommendations for process improvements.
  • Ensure compliance with safety regulations and best practices within the warehouse environment.
  • Coordinate with logistics and transport teams to ensure timely and accurate delivery of goods.
  • Train and supervise junior warehouse staff on inventory procedures and system usage.
  • Identify and address potential issues related to inventory obsolescence, damage, or expiration.

Required Skills

  • Minimum of 3 years of proven experience in inventory control, warehouse management, or a similar supply chain role.
  • Proficiency in inventory management software (e.g., ERP systems, WMS).
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with exceptional attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, capable of collaborating effectively across departments.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
  • Solid understanding of warehouse operations, logistics, and supply chain principles.
  • Physical ability to perform warehouse duties, including lifting and moving packages as required.

Preferred Qualifications

  • A Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Certification in Supply Chain Management (e.g., CSCP, CPIM).
  • Experience with SAP or a similar enterprise-level ERP system.
  • Prior experience in a large-scale distribution or manufacturing environment.
