Key Responsibilities
- Manage daily inventory counts, cycle counts, and physical inventories to ensure accuracy.
- Receive, inspect, and process incoming merchandise, verifying against purchase orders.
- Organize and maintain the stockroom and storage areas, ensuring efficient space utilization and accessibility.
- Monitor inventory levels, identify discrepancies, and investigate root causes for variances.
- Prepare and process outbound shipments, transfers, and returns accurately and efficiently.
- Operate essential warehouse equipment safely, such as pallet jacks or hand trucks, if required.
- Collaborate with sales and merchandising teams to facilitate product availability and replenishment.
- Implement and enforce inventory control procedures and best practices.
- Generate inventory reports and provide insights to management regarding stock levels, trends, and potential issues.
- Assist in maintaining a clean, safe, and organized work environment.
Required Skills
- Minimum 2 years of experience in inventory management, retail stock, or a warehouse environment.
- Proficiency with inventory management systems (IMS) and point-of-sale (POS) software.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in record-keeping.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills.
- Ability to lift and move merchandise up to 50 lbs and stand for extended periods.
- Demonstrated problem-solving abilities and a proactive approach.
- Effective communication skills, both written and verbal.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
