Job Description

Career.zycto is actively seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Investment Operations Associate to join a leading financial institution within the vibrant Coal Harbour financial district. This critical role serves as the backbone of investment processes, ensuring accuracy, efficiency, and compliance across all operational activities. Key Responsibilities

  • Execute and monitor daily trade settlements across various asset classes (equities, fixed income, derivatives).
  • Perform daily cash and position reconciliations, investigating and resolving discrepancies promptly.
  • Process corporate actions, including dividends, mergers, splits, and proxy votes, ensuring accurate portfolio adjustments.
  • Maintain precise client and portfolio data within investment management systems.
  • Provide operational support to front office, portfolio management, and client service teams.
  • Ensure strict adherence to compliance policies, regulatory guidelines, and internal controls.
  • Actively participate in the identification and implementation of process improvement initiatives and system enhancements.
  • Generate and review various operational reports for accuracy and completeness.

Required Skills

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business, Economics, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in financial operations, preferably in investment management.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities with an exceptional eye for detail.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel (VLOOKUP, pivot tables, data analysis).
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to work accurately under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
  • Understanding of investment instruments and financial market dynamics.

Preferred Qualifications

  • CFA Level I candidate or actively pursuing other relevant industry designations (e.g., CSC).
  • Experience with portfolio management systems (e.g., Advent Axys, Charles River, BlackRock Aladdin).
  • Knowledge of various investment products, including mutual funds, ETFs, and alternative investments.
  • Prior experience in a back-office or middle-office role within a financial institution.
