Job Description

As an IoT Engineer, you will be instrumental in the design, development, and deployment of robust IoT ecosystems, integrating hardware, software, and cloud platforms to deliver tangible value. You will be responsible for bringing conceptual designs to life, from sensor data acquisition and processing to cloud integration and data visualization. Our ideal candidate is a proactive problem-solver with a strong background in embedded systems, wireless communication protocols, and cloud-based IoT services. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including hardware designers, software developers, and data scientists, to ensure seamless project execution and delivery. Key Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and implement end-to-end IoT solutions, encompassing hardware, firmware, software, and cloud components.
  • Integrate various sensors, actuators, and devices with communication modules (e.g., LoRa, BLE, Wi-Fi, Cellular).
  • Develop and optimize embedded software for microcontrollers and single-board computers.
  • Configure and manage cloud-based IoT platforms (e.g., AWS IoT, Azure IoT Hub, Google Cloud IoT Core).
  • Ensure the security, scalability, and reliability of deployed IoT systems.
  • Perform debugging, testing, and validation of IoT hardware and software.
  • Collaborate with product managers and other engineers to define requirements and deliver innovative solutions.
  • Stay current with emerging IoT technologies, trends, and best practices.

Required Skills

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.
  • 4+ years of professional experience in IoT solution development.
  • Proficiency in programming languages such as C/C++, Python, or JavaScript.
  • Strong experience with embedded systems development and real-time operating systems (RTOS).
  • Familiarity with various IoT communication protocols (MQTT, CoAP, HTTP/REST, LoRaWAN, Zigbee, BLE).
  • Hands-on experience with cloud IoT platforms (AWS IoT, Azure IoT, Google Cloud IoT).
  • Solid understanding of hardware-software integration and debugging.
  • Knowledge of data acquisition, processing, and analytics for IoT data.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master's degree in a relevant engineering or computer science discipline.
  • Experience with Docker and containerization for IoT edge deployments.
  • Knowledge of cybersecurity best practices for IoT devices and platforms.
  • Familiarity with front-end development frameworks for data visualization (e.g., React, Angular, Vue.js).
