As an Irrigation Support Worker, you will be an integral part of our field operations, responsible for a range of tasks that ensure our irrigation systems function optimally. Key Responsibilities

  • Assist in the installation, maintenance, and repair of irrigation systems under the guidance of senior technicians.
  • Perform routine system checks, identify potential issues, and assist in basic troubleshooting.
  • Dig trenches for new pipe installations, lay pipes, and connect various irrigation components.
  • Operate hand tools, shovels, and basic power tools (e.g., pipe cutters, small trenchers) safely and efficiently.
  • Transport equipment and materials to and from various job sites in a safe and timely manner.
  • Maintain accurate records of tasks performed, materials used, and hours worked.
  • Collaborate effectively with team members and communicate progress and challenges.
  • Ensure all work is conducted in compliance with company safety protocols and environmental regulations.
  • Clean and organize work sites, tools, and company vehicles at the end of each day.
  • Provide clear and courteous communication with clients when on-site, representing the company professionally.

Required Skills

  • Basic understanding of irrigation principles or general outdoor construction methods.
  • Ability to perform physically demanding tasks, including lifting up to 50 lbs, bending, and standing for extended periods.
  • Valid Class 5 driver's license with a clean driving abstract.
  • Strong work ethic, reliability, and punctuality.
  • Excellent observational and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
  • Proficiency in English (written and verbal communication).
  • Commitment to adhering to safety guidelines and procedures.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Previous experience (e.g., 6 months) in landscaping, horticulture, agriculture, or a related outdoor service field.
  • Familiarity with various irrigation system components such as sprinkler heads, valves, and controllers.
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Certification in First Aid and CPR.
