Key Responsibilities
- Assist in the installation, maintenance, and repair of irrigation systems under the guidance of senior technicians.
- Perform routine system checks, identify potential issues, and assist in basic troubleshooting.
- Dig trenches for new pipe installations, lay pipes, and connect various irrigation components.
- Operate hand tools, shovels, and basic power tools (e.g., pipe cutters, small trenchers) safely and efficiently.
- Transport equipment and materials to and from various job sites in a safe and timely manner.
- Maintain accurate records of tasks performed, materials used, and hours worked.
- Collaborate effectively with team members and communicate progress and challenges.
- Ensure all work is conducted in compliance with company safety protocols and environmental regulations.
- Clean and organize work sites, tools, and company vehicles at the end of each day.
- Provide clear and courteous communication with clients when on-site, representing the company professionally.
Required Skills
- Basic understanding of irrigation principles or general outdoor construction methods.
- Ability to perform physically demanding tasks, including lifting up to 50 lbs, bending, and standing for extended periods.
- Valid Class 5 driver's license with a clean driving abstract.
- Strong work ethic, reliability, and punctuality.
- Excellent observational and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
- Proficiency in English (written and verbal communication).
- Commitment to adhering to safety guidelines and procedures.
Preferred Qualifications
