Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain automation scripts, tools, and platforms to support IT operations, infrastructure provisioning, and application deployment.
- Implement and manage Infrastructure as Code (IaC) principles using tools like Terraform, Ansible, or Puppet.
- Develop and optimize CI/CD pipelines to facilitate rapid and reliable software delivery and infrastructure changes.
- Collaborate with development, operations, and security teams to identify automation opportunities and integrate automation solutions across the enterprise.
- Monitor and troubleshoot automation systems, ensuring high availability, performance, and security.
- Document automation processes, procedures, and architectural designs thoroughly.
- Participate in on-call rotations and provide support for critical automation systems as needed.
- Stay abreast of emerging technologies and industry best practices in automation and DevOps.
Required Skills
- Proven experience as an IT Automation Engineer, DevOps Engineer, or similar role.
- Strong scripting proficiency in Python, PowerShell, Bash, or similar languages.
- Extensive experience with configuration management tools (e.g., Ansible, Puppet, Chef).
- Hands-on experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and their automation capabilities.
- Solid understanding of CI/CD concepts and experience with tools like Jenkins, GitLab CI, Azure DevOps.
- Familiarity with containerization technologies (Docker, Kubernetes).
- Experience with version control systems, particularly Git.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Certifications in relevant cloud platforms (e.g., AWS Certified DevOps Engineer, Azure DevOps Engineer Expert).
