Career.zycto is seeking a dedicated and proactive IT Field Technician to join our growing team in Erlangen, Bavaria. This critical role involves providing on-site technical support, troubleshooting, and maintenance for a wide array of IT systems and networks across our client locations. As an IT Field Technician, you will be the face of Career.zycto, representing our commitment to quality service and efficient problem resolution. Your day-to-day will be dynamic, ranging from diagnosing complex hardware and software issues to implementing new systems and offering expert guidance to end-users.

This role demands a strong understanding of various operating systems, network protocols, hardware components, and common business applications. Key Responsibilities
- Perform on-site diagnosis, troubleshooting, and repair of hardware (laptops, desktops, servers, printers) and software issues.
- Install, configure, and maintain operating systems, applications, and network devices.
- Provide technical support and guidance to end-users, ensuring timely resolution of IT incidents.
- Conduct routine system checks, preventative maintenance, and performance monitoring.
- Assist with network infrastructure setup, including cabling, routing, and switching.
- Manage IT asset inventory and document all service activities, solutions, and client interactions.
- Implement security patches and updates to ensure system integrity and data protection.
- Collaborate with the central IT team to escalate complex issues and share knowledge.
- Travel to various client sites within the Erlangen and wider Bavaria region.
- Educate users on best practices for IT security and system usage.
Required Skills
- Proven experience in IT support or field service roles.
- Strong knowledge of Windows operating systems (Windows 10/11, Windows Server) and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Familiarity with network concepts (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP) and basic troubleshooting.
- Proficiency in diagnosing and repairing PC hardware components.
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Strong communication and customer service abilities.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.
- Valid German driver's license (Class B).
