Job Description
Career.zycto is seeking a motivated and enthusiastic IT Hardware Technician Aide to join a dynamic and fast-paced team in Apapa, Lagos. Key Responsibilities
- Assist senior IT technicians with hardware installation, configuration, and setup of computers, printers, and other peripherals.
- Perform basic diagnostic checks and troubleshooting on hardware components to identify and resolve common issues.
- Support the physical deployment and retrieval of IT equipment across various departments or client sites.
- Help maintain an accurate inventory of hardware assets, including tracking and documentation of equipment.
- Conduct preventative maintenance tasks such as cleaning, inspecting, and upgrading hardware components.
- Escalate complex technical issues to senior IT staff for advanced support and resolution.
- Provide basic technical support to end-users regarding hardware functionalities and minor issues.
- Assemble and disassemble computer systems and components as required.
- Ensure proper cabling and connectivity for network devices and workstations.
- Adhere to company IT policies, procedures, and security protocols.
- Learn and adapt to new technologies and hardware systems as they are introduced.
Required Skills
- Basic knowledge of computer hardware components (e.g., CPU, RAM, HDD/SSD, Motherboard).
- Familiarity with operating systems like Windows and macOS.
- Strong willingness to learn and adapt to new technologies.
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Ability to follow instructions meticulously and work independently when required.
- Good verbal and written communication skills.
- Physical dexterity to handle and move IT equipment.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
Preferred Qualifications

- CompTIA A+ certification or other relevant IT certifications.
- Prior hands-on experience with computer hardware, even in a personal capacity.
