As an IT Program Manager, you will be instrumental in overseeing the successful planning, execution, and delivery of multiple complex IT projects and initiatives that align with our strategic business objectives. Key Responsibilities
- Define, plan, and oversee multiple interconnected IT projects and initiatives, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and strategic priorities.
- Develop comprehensive program plans, including scope, objectives, schedules, budgets, resource requirements, and risk management strategies.
- Lead, mentor, and manage a team of project managers and cross-functional project teams, fostering a culture of accountability and continuous improvement.
- Monitor program progress, identify potential risks and issues, and implement proactive mitigation strategies to ensure successful delivery.
- Manage program budgets, track expenditures, and ensure financial targets are met, providing regular reporting to stakeholders.
- Facilitate effective communication and collaboration among all program stakeholders, including executive leadership, business units, and external vendors.
- Establish and maintain program governance, standards, and best practices to ensure consistency and quality across all IT initiatives.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives within the program management office (PMO) to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.
- Evaluate program outcomes and performance, reporting on success metrics and lessons learned to inform future strategic planning.
Required Skills
- Minimum 5 years of experience in IT program or senior project management roles.
- Proven track record of successfully delivering complex, large-scale IT programs on time and within budget.
- Strong understanding of various project and program management methodologies (e.g., Agile, Scrum, Waterfall, Hybrid).
- Exceptional leadership, communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency in risk management, change management, and stakeholder management.
- Solid technical background with understanding or hands-on experience in software development, infrastructure, or cloud technologies.
- Experience with project management software (e.g., Jira, Asana, Microsoft Project).
- Ability to analyze complex data, identify trends, and make data-driven decisions.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Business Administration, or a related field.
