Key Responsibilities

  • Provide first-line technical support to internal users regarding hardware, software, network, and system issues, primarily on-site.
  • Install, configure, and maintain workstations, laptops, printers, and other peripheral devices.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve common operating system problems (Windows, some Linux/macOS exposure a plus).
  • Assist with user account management, including creation, modification, and password resets in Active Directory.
  • Diagnose and resolve basic network connectivity issues (LAN/WLAN).
  • Document all support interactions, resolutions, and relevant technical information in the ticketing system.
  • Escalate complex issues to senior IT staff or specialized teams when necessary.
  • Participate in IT asset management, including inventory tracking and deployment of new equipment.
  • Support conference room technology, including projectors, video conferencing systems, and audio equipment.
  • Provide basic support for business applications and productivity suites (e.g., Microsoft Office 365).
  • Contribute to maintaining a clean, organized, and secure IT environment.
  • Adhere to IT policies, procedures, and security best practices.

Required Skills

  • Basic understanding of computer hardware components and functionality.
  • Familiarity with Windows operating systems (Windows 10/11).
  • Fundamental knowledge of network concepts (TCP/IP, LAN, Wi-Fi).
  • Strong problem-solving abilities and a methodical approach to troubleshooting.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Exceptional customer service orientation and interpersonal skills.
  • Eagerness to learn new technologies and systems quickly.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Diploma or degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
  • Relevant IT certifications (e.g., CompTIA A+, Microsoft Certified Fundamentals).
  • Experience with a ticketing system or IT Service Management (ITSM) platform.
  • Prior experience in a customer service role, even outside of IT.
  • Basic understanding of Active Directory user management.
  • Exposure to PowerShell scripting or other automation tools.
