Key Responsibilities
- Provide first and second-level technical support for hardware, software, and network issues, both remotely and on-site.
- Install, configure, and maintain workstations, laptops, printers, and other peripheral devices.
- Troubleshoot operating system problems (Windows, macOS) and application-specific issues.
- Manage user accounts, permissions, and access rights within Active Directory and other identity management systems.
- Assist with network connectivity issues, including Wi-Fi, VPN, and basic router/switch troubleshooting.
- Document technical issues, solutions, and procedures accurately in our ticketing system.
- Conduct regular system checks and preventative maintenance to ensure optimal performance.
- Collaborate with senior IT staff on larger projects, system upgrades, and infrastructure improvements.
- Educate users on best practices for IT security and efficient use of technology.
- Participate in an on-call rotation for critical support needs, as required by the flexible schedule model.
Required Skills
- Minimum 2 years of experience in an IT Support role.
- Proficiency in Windows operating systems (Windows 10/11) and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Strong understanding of hardware components, troubleshooting, and replacement.
- Familiarity with Active Directory and basic network concepts (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP).
- Experience with ticketing systems and IT service management (ITSM) best practices.
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Exceptional verbal and written communication abilities.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong customer service orientation and a professional demeanor.
Preferred Qualifications
- Relevant IT certifications (e.g., CompTIA A+, Network+, Microsoft Certified: Modern Desktop Administrator Associate).
- Experience with macOS and Linux environments.
- Knowledge of cloud platforms (e.g., Microsoft 365, Azure, Google Workspace).
- Basic scripting skills (e.g., PowerShell).
