Job Description
Are you a proactive and customer-focused IT professional looking to make a significant impact? FNB Botswana is seeking a dedicated and skilled IT Support Technician to join our team in Molepolole. This is an office-based, full-time position crucial for ensuring the smooth operation of our banking systems and providing immediate technical assistance to our staff. You will be the frontline support, resolving hardware and software issues, maintaining network connectivity, and safeguarding our IT infrastructure. Key Responsibilities
- Provide first and second-line technical support to end-users on hardware, software, and network-related issues, primarily within the Molepolole branch.
- Install, configure, and maintain computer systems, printers, scanners, and other IT peripherals.
- Diagnose and resolve technical problems efficiently, ensuring minimal downtime for banking operations.
- Manage user accounts, permissions, and access rights within the network infrastructure.
- Perform regular system checks, updates, and preventative maintenance to ensure optimal performance and security.
- Assist with network troubleshooting, including LAN/WAN connectivity and Wi-Fi access.
- Document all support activities, resolutions, and configurations in the IT service management system.
- Collaborate with senior IT staff and external vendors for complex issues and system upgrades.
- Ensure compliance with IT security policies and procedures.
- Provide training and guidance to users on new software or system functionalities.
- Maintain an accurate inventory of IT assets.
Required Skills
- Proficiency in Windows operating systems (Windows 10/11) and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Strong understanding of computer hardware components and troubleshooting techniques.
- Basic knowledge of network protocols (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP) and network connectivity.
- Experience with ticketing systems and IT service management best practices.
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with a customer-focused approach.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree or Diploma in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.

- Experience in a financial services or banking environment.
