Key Responsibilities
- Proactively monitor IT systems, networks, servers, and applications using established monitoring tools and dashboards.
- Respond promptly to alerts, alarms, and incident notifications, assessing their urgency and potential impact.
- Perform initial triage of system anomalies, identifying root causes for common issues and executing basic troubleshooting steps.
- Accurately document all alerts, incidents, and resolutions in the ticketing system, ensuring clear and comprehensive records.
- Escalate critical incidents to appropriate senior IT personnel or engineering teams according to defined protocols.
- Generate routine reports on system health, performance metrics, and incident trends.
- Collaborate with other IT teams to ensure smooth handovers and effective problem resolution.
- Participate in the review and improvement of monitoring processes and alert configurations.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of system functionalities and monitoring tools.
- Ensure compliance with company security policies and operational procedures.
Required Skills
- Proficiency with common operating systems (Windows Server, Linux).
- Basic understanding of network concepts (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP) and network monitoring.
- Familiarity with IT monitoring tools (e.g., Zabbix, Nagios, PRTG, SolarWinds, or similar).
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with meticulous attention to detail.
- Excellent verbal and written communication abilities.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced and high-pressure environment.
- Basic scripting knowledge (e.g., PowerShell, Bash) is a plus.
