Job Description
Kivu Paradise Resort is seeking a diligent and dedicated Janitor to join our team for the night shift, specializing in facility cleaning. This crucial full-time role ensures that our resort maintains its pristine condition, providing a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for our guests and staff throughout the night and into the next day. The successful candidate will be responsible for a wide range of cleaning and maintenance tasks, primarily focusing on public areas, guest facilities, kitchens, and back-of-house operations when guest traffic is minimal. This position requires an individual who is reliable, detail-oriented, capable of working independently, and committed to upholding the highest standards of cleanliness and sanitation.
Working during the night shift means you will play a vital role in preparing the resort for the bustling activity of the day. Your tasks will include thorough cleaning of floors, surfaces, restrooms, and common areas, ensuring all spaces are spotless and hygienic. Key Responsibilities
- Perform thorough cleaning and sanitization of all public areas, including lobbies, hallways, dining areas, conference rooms, and restrooms, during the night shift.
- Clean and disinfect common touchpoints, surfaces, furniture, and fixtures regularly to maintain hygiene standards.
- Vacuum, sweep, mop, and polish floors, ensuring all floor surfaces are clean and well-maintained.
- Empty waste bins and dispose of waste materials in designated areas according to resort policies.
- Restock toiletries, paper products, and cleaning supplies in restrooms and public areas.
- Operate and maintain cleaning equipment such as vacuum cleaners, floor buffers, and carpet cleaners safely and effectively.
- Monitor inventory of cleaning supplies and report needs to the supervisor.
- Report any maintenance issues, damages, or safety hazards observed during the shift.
- Adhere to all health, safety, and environmental regulations and resort cleaning protocols.
Required Skills
- Proven ability to work independently and manage time effectively during unsupervised shifts.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to maintaining high standards of cleanliness.
- Physical stamina and ability to perform demanding tasks, including lifting, bending, standing for extended periods, and operating cleaning equipment.
- Basic knowledge of cleaning chemicals and their safe application.

Preferred Qualifications
