Key Responsibilities

  • Perform general cleaning and sanitizing tasks in all designated areas, including patient rooms, offices, waiting areas, restrooms, and corridors.
  • Clean, disinfect, and restock restrooms and other high-touch areas regularly throughout the day.
  • Empty waste bins and transport waste to designated disposal areas, adhering to strict waste management protocols, especially for medical waste.
  • Sweep, mop, vacuum, and buff floors as required, ensuring they are free from dirt, spills, and debris.
  • Clean and polish fixtures, furniture, windows, and other surfaces.
  • Replenish supplies such as soap, paper towels, and toilet paper.
  • Operate and maintain cleaning equipment safely and efficiently.
  • Report any maintenance needs, safety hazards, or damaged items to supervisors promptly.
  • Adhere strictly to hospital cleaning policies, health codes, and infection control procedures.
  • Maintain a professional and courteous demeanor while interacting with staff, patients, and visitors.

Required Skills

  • Proven ability to follow instructions and procedures meticulously.
  • Strong attention to detail and a commitment to high standards of cleanliness.
  • Physical stamina and ability to perform tasks requiring bending, lifting, pushing, and standing for extended periods.
