Key Responsibilities

  • Assist with the preparation of journal entries, reconciliations, and financial reports.
  • Process accounts payable and accounts receivable transactions accurately and timely.
  • Support the monthly, quarterly, and annual closing processes.
  • Maintain and update accounting records and files with meticulous attention to detail.
  • Reconcile bank statements and various general ledger accounts.
  • Assist with expense report verification, processing, and compliance.
  • Provide essential support for internal and external audits, as well as tax preparation activities.
  • Perform data entry and administrative tasks as needed to ensure the smooth operation of the finance department.

Required Skills

  • Solid understanding of basic accounting principles and financial concepts.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly advanced Excel skills (VLOOKUP, pivot tables).
  • Exceptional attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy in all tasks.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities to identify and resolve discrepancies.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills with the ability to prioritize effectively.
  • Ability to work effectively both independently and collaboratively as part of a team.
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills for clear internal and external interactions.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a closely related field.
  • Previous internship experience in an accounting or finance department.
  • Familiarity with accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, SAP, Oracle NetSuite, Workday).
  • GPA of 3.0 or higher in relevant coursework.
