Key Responsibilities
- Assist in the monitoring of network security systems, including firewalls, intrusion detection/prevention systems (IDS/IPS), and SIEM solutions, for suspicious activities and alerts.
- Support the incident response team by documenting security incidents, performing initial analysis, and escalating issues as per established protocols.
- Help maintain and update security configurations on network devices, ensuring compliance with internal security policies and industry best practices.
- Participate in vulnerability scanning and penetration testing efforts, helping to identify and remediate security weaknesses within network infrastructure.
- Contribute to the development and improvement of security documentation, policies, and procedures.
- Collaborate with IT operations teams to implement security patches and updates on network components.
- Learn and apply knowledge of various network protocols (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP) and their security implications.
- Undertake continuous learning to stay updated with the latest cybersecurity threats, technologies, and regulations.
- Provide basic troubleshooting and support for security-related network issues.

Required Skills
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Cybersecurity, or a related field (or equivalent practical experience).
