Key Responsibilities
- Assist senior penetration testers in conducting vulnerability assessments and penetration tests on web applications, networks, and systems.
- Perform reconnaissance and information gathering using various open-source and commercial tools.
- Utilize vulnerability scanning tools to identify potential weaknesses and misconfigurations.
- Document findings thoroughly, including steps to reproduce vulnerabilities and potential impact.
- Contribute to the drafting of detailed technical reports and executive summaries.
- Participate in client debriefings to explain technical findings and recommend remediation strategies.
- Research and stay updated on the latest cybersecurity threats, vulnerabilities, and exploitation techniques.
- Support the team in internal research projects and tool development.
- Maintain confidentiality and integrity of all client information during security engagements.
Required Skills
- Foundational understanding of networking protocols (TCP/IP, HTTP, DNS)
- Basic knowledge of operating systems (Windows, Linux) and their security implications
- Familiarity with common web application vulnerabilities (OWASP Top 10)
- Understanding of security testing methodologies and frameworks (e.g., PTES)
- Proficiency in at least one scripting language (Python, Bash, PowerShell)
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
- Strong written and verbal communication skills in English
