Key Responsibilities
- Assist chefs with food preparation, including washing, peeling, chopping, and storing ingredients.
- Maintain high standards of kitchen cleanliness and hygiene, including washing dishes, utensils, and equipment.
- Ensure all kitchen areas, surfaces, and floors are cleaned regularly and thoroughly.
- Support the culinary team during peak service times, ensuring timely delivery of prepared items.
- Receive and store deliveries, checking for quality and quantity, and ensuring proper rotation of stock.
- Operate kitchen equipment safely and efficiently.
- Adhere strictly to health and safety regulations and food hygiene standards.
- Assist with waste management and recycling within the kitchen.
- Perform other ad-hoc duties as required by the Head Chef or Kitchen Manager.
