Key Responsibilities
- Clean and sanitize all kitchen surfaces, including countertops, worktables, sinks, and walls, multiple times daily.
- Operate and maintain dishwashing machinery, ensuring all dishes, cutlery, and cooking equipment are thoroughly cleaned and stored properly.
- Sweep, mop, and deep clean kitchen floors, paying close attention to grease and food spills.
- Empty waste bins regularly and manage waste disposal in accordance with hotel guidelines and local regulations.
- Clean and maintain kitchen equipment such as ovens, grills, fryers, refrigerators, and freezers.
- Assist with the organization and proper storage of kitchen supplies and equipment.
- Adhere strictly to all health, safety, and hygiene standards and regulations.
- Report any maintenance issues or equipment malfunctions to the kitchen supervisor promptly.
- Perform other cleaning duties as assigned by the kitchen management to maintain overall kitchen cleanliness.
Required Skills
- Proven ability to follow instructions and work effectively in a team-oriented environment.
- Basic knowledge of cleaning chemicals and their safe handling and usage.
- Strong attention to detail and a proactive approach to maintaining cleanliness.
- Physical stamina and ability to stand for extended periods, lift moderate weights, and perform repetitive tasks.
