Key Responsibilities
- Clean and sanitize all kitchen surfaces, including countertops, floors, walls, and food preparation areas, adhering to strict hygiene protocols.
- Wash, sterilize, and neatly arrange kitchen utensils, crockery, cutlery, pots, and pans, ensuring they are readily available for use.
- Operate and maintain industrial dishwashing machines, including loading, unloading, and basic troubleshooting.
- Properly dispose of waste and recycling materials according to established procedures, maintaining clean and odor-free waste areas.
- Regularly sweep and mop kitchen floors to prevent slips and maintain a spotless appearance.
- Thoroughly clean and maintain kitchen equipment such as ovens, fridges, freezers, griddles, and storage racks.
- Assist with the orderly storage and organization of kitchen supplies, inventory, and equipment.
- Monitor cleaning supply levels and communicate replenishment needs to the kitchen manager in a timely manner.
- Adhere strictly to all health, safety, and hygiene regulations, as well as company policies and procedures.
- Promptly report any maintenance issues, equipment malfunctions, or safety hazards to the kitchen manager.
Required Skills
- Proven experience in kitchen cleaning or a similar role, demonstrating a clear understanding of hygiene standards.
- Solid knowledge of health and safety standards and practices in a professional kitchen environment.
- Ability to safely operate industrial dishwashers and other common cleaning equipment.
- Exceptional attention to detail and a thorough, systematic approach to cleaning tasks.
