Key Responsibilities
- Clean and sanitize all kitchen equipment, utensils, crockery, and work surfaces to the highest hygiene standards.
- Assist chefs with basic food preparation tasks, including washing, peeling, chopping vegetables, and portioning ingredients as directed.
- Ensure kitchen floors are clean, dry, and free from hazards, adhering to health and safety regulations.
- Manage waste disposal, including recycling and general refuse, in accordance with company procedures.
- Receive and store deliveries, checking for quality and quantity, and rotating stock effectively.
- Assist with the setup and breakdown of catering events, including transporting equipment and food items.
- Maintain an organised and tidy storeroom and refrigeration areas.
- Adhere strictly to all food safety and health & safety regulations.
- Support the wider kitchen team in any ad-hoc tasks required for smooth operation.
