Key Responsibilities
- Perform basic food preparation tasks such as washing, peeling, chopping, slicing, and dicing a variety of fruits, vegetables, and other ingredients as directed by the culinary team.
- Assist cooks and chefs with ingredient portioning and setting up mise en place for various dishes and catering events.
- Maintain the highest standards of kitchen cleanliness and hygiene, including regular cleaning of workstations, utensils, cooking equipment, and storage areas.
- Properly store and organize food items, ensuring correct labeling and rotation to minimize waste and comply with food safety regulations.
- Receive and unpack deliveries, verifying quantities and quality of incoming supplies, and storing them appropriately.
- Adhere strictly to all food safety and sanitation guidelines and company policies.
- Support the culinary team during service, helping with plating and final preparations as needed.
- Assist with washing dishes and maintaining an orderly dishwashing area.
- Communicate effectively with team members to ensure smooth kitchen operations and timely preparation of food.
- Undertake any other kitchen-related duties as assigned by the Head Chef or Kitchen Manager.
