Key Responsibilities

  • Assist with food preparation, including washing, peeling, cutting, and chopping ingredients.
  • Operate basic kitchen equipment safely and efficiently (e.g., mixers, slicers, ovens).
  • Prepare dishes according to recipes, quality standards, and portion control guidelines.
  • Ensure proper storage and rotation of food items to minimize waste and maintain freshness.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and sanitary kitchen environment, adhering strictly to health and safety regulations.
  • Wash and sanitize dishes, utensils, pots, and cooking equipment.
  • Assist with receiving and storing inventory, ensuring accuracy and proper handling.
  • Support the Head Chef and other kitchen staff as needed during busy service periods.
  • Monitor food temperatures and follow proper food handling procedures to prevent contamination.
  • Contribute to a positive team atmosphere and communicate effectively with colleagues.
