Key Responsibilities
- Assist in the deployment, configuration, and management of Kubernetes clusters under direct supervision.
- Monitor the health, performance, and resource utilization of Kubernetes nodes, pods, and applications using monitoring tools.
- Perform basic troubleshooting of issues related to Kubernetes components, application deployments, and network connectivity.
- Support the containerization of applications using Docker and their deployment to Kubernetes.
- Collaborate with development teams to ensure smooth application integration and deployment within the Kubernetes ecosystem.
- Maintain and update operational documentation, runbooks, and troubleshooting guides for Kubernetes environments.
- Participate in learning and knowledge-sharing sessions to deepen understanding of Kubernetes, cloud technologies, and best practices.
- Contribute to the automation of routine operational tasks and infrastructure as code initiatives.
- Ensure security best practices are followed within the Kubernetes clusters and associated infrastructure.
- Provide support for on-call rotations as required, with increasing responsibility over time and mentorship.
Required Skills
- Basic understanding of Linux/Unix operating systems and command-line interfaces.
- Familiarity with containerization concepts and Docker.
- Knowledge of basic networking principles (IP addressing, DNS, HTTP).
- Strong eagerness to learn and work with Kubernetes.
- Fundamental scripting skills (e.g., Bash, Python).
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical abilities.
