Career.zycto is actively seeking a highly motivated and enthusiastic Entry Level Kubernetes Administrator to join our innovative infrastructure team in Essen. In this role, you will be instrumental in supporting the deployment, maintenance, and monitoring of our Kubernetes environments, which are critical to delivering high-performance, scalable applications for our diverse client base. You will work closely with experienced engineers, learning best practices in container orchestration, site reliability engineering, and automation. Key Responsibilities

  • Assist in the deployment, configuration, and management of Kubernetes clusters under direct supervision.
  • Monitor the health, performance, and resource utilization of Kubernetes nodes, pods, and applications using monitoring tools.
  • Perform basic troubleshooting of issues related to Kubernetes components, application deployments, and network connectivity.
  • Support the containerization of applications using Docker and their deployment to Kubernetes.
  • Collaborate with development teams to ensure smooth application integration and deployment within the Kubernetes ecosystem.
  • Maintain and update operational documentation, runbooks, and troubleshooting guides for Kubernetes environments.
  • Participate in learning and knowledge-sharing sessions to deepen understanding of Kubernetes, cloud technologies, and best practices.
  • Contribute to the automation of routine operational tasks and infrastructure as code initiatives.
  • Ensure security best practices are followed within the Kubernetes clusters and associated infrastructure.
  • Provide support for on-call rotations as required, with increasing responsibility over time and mentorship.

Required Skills

  • Basic understanding of Linux/Unix operating systems and command-line interfaces.
  • Familiarity with containerization concepts and Docker.
  • Knowledge of basic networking principles (IP addressing, DNS, HTTP).
  • Strong eagerness to learn and work with Kubernetes.
  • Fundamental scripting skills (e.g., Bash, Python).
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical abilities.
  • Good communication skills and ability to work effectively in a team.
  • Ability to follow instructions and learn new technologies rapidly.

Preferred Qualifications
