Job Description
This role is foundational to our laboratory’s success, providing essential support to our scientific and technical teams. The Lab Equipment Aide will be responsible for the meticulous cleaning, maintenance, and organization of laboratory equipment and glassware, ensuring a sterile and efficient workspace. Key Responsibilities
- Perform routine cleaning and sterilization of laboratory glassware, instruments, and equipment according to established protocols.
- Assist with the preparation of reagents, solutions, and culture media under supervision.
- Maintain accurate inventory of laboratory supplies, reagents, and consumables, notifying senior staff of restocking needs.
- Ensure the laboratory workspace is clean, organized, and compliant with safety and hygiene standards at all times.
- Transport samples, chemicals, and equipment within the laboratory as required.
- Monitor equipment functionality, performing basic troubleshooting and reporting malfunctions to appropriate personnel.
- Adhere strictly to all health, safety, and environmental guidelines and procedures.
- Dispose of waste materials safely and in accordance with regulatory guidelines.
- Assist in maintaining documentation related to equipment usage, maintenance, and cleaning logs.
