Couples Negril is seeking a meticulous and enthusiastic Lab Sample Assistant to join our dedicated team in Bloody Bay, Negril. Key Responsibilities
- Receive, log, and process incoming samples (e.g., water, food, environmental) according to standard operating procedures.
- Accurately label and store samples, ensuring proper identification and traceability.
- Perform basic sample preparation tasks, such as aliquoting, dilution, and mixing, under supervision.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe laboratory workspace, including regular cleaning of equipment and surfaces.
- Assist with inventory management of laboratory supplies and reagents, noting when items need replenishment.
- Dispose of samples and laboratory waste in accordance with safety and environmental regulations.
- Record data accurately and completely in laboratory notebooks or digital systems.
- Follow all health, safety, and quality control protocols rigorously.
- Support senior laboratory staff with various tasks as needed, demonstrating a proactive attitude.
- Report any equipment malfunctions or safety concerns immediately to supervisors.
