Key Responsibilities
- Prepare samples and reagents for experiments and analyses with precision and accuracy.
- Operate and maintain standard laboratory equipment, including centrifuges, pH meters, spectrophotometers, and microscopes.
- Perform routine laboratory tasks such as media preparation, sterilization, and general lab upkeep.
- Accurately record and document experimental data, observations, and results in lab notebooks or digital systems.
- Assist senior researchers and scientists with experimental setup and execution.
- Ensure strict adherence to safety protocols, quality control standards, and good laboratory practices (GLP).
- Manage laboratory inventory, including tracking supplies and reagents, and assisting with ordering.
- Troubleshoot minor equipment issues and report more complex problems to senior staff.
- Participate in team meetings and contribute to scientific discussions as appropriate.
Required Skills
- Bachelor's degree in Biology, Chemistry, Biochemistry, Medical Technology, or a related scientific field.
- Strong foundational knowledge of laboratory techniques and safety procedures.
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in data collection and documentation.
- Ability to follow precise instructions and experimental protocols.
- Proficiency in basic computer applications (e.g., Microsoft Office Suite).
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Effective written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous laboratory experience (e.g., through academic projects, internships, or volunteer work).
