Key Responsibilities
- Perform routine laboratory experiments, tests, and analyses accurately and efficiently, following established protocols and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
- Prepare and manage reagents, solutions, and media, ensuring proper labeling, storage, and inventory control.
- Maintain and calibrate laboratory equipment, conducting minor troubleshooting and reporting more complex issues to senior staff.
- Accurately record, compile, and present experimental data, observations, and results in laboratory notebooks and digital systems.
- Assist in the preparation of samples for various analyses, including precise weighing, measuring, and handling of delicate materials.
- Ensure strict adherence to laboratory safety guidelines, waste disposal protocols, and maintain a clean, organized, and safe working environment.
- Contribute to the general upkeep of the laboratory, including washing glassware and sterilizing equipment as needed.
- Collaborate effectively with team members, participate in lab meetings, and contribute to a productive and positive research culture.
Required Skills
- Strong foundational knowledge of general laboratory techniques and safety procedures.
- Proficiency in data recording and basic report writing.
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
