Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare samples and reagents accurately according to established protocols and safety guidelines.
  • Operate, clean, and maintain standard laboratory equipment, ensuring proper calibration and functionality.
  • Perform routine experiments and tests under the supervision of senior researchers.
  • Accurately record, document, and organize experimental data and results in lab notebooks and electronic systems.
  • Assist in the setup and breakdown of experiments, ensuring the lab is tidy and well-stocked.
  • Monitor inventory of lab supplies and reagents, and assist with ordering when necessary.
  • Adhere strictly to all laboratory safety regulations and quality control procedures.
  • Contribute to the general upkeep and cleanliness of the laboratory environment.
  • Collaborate effectively with team members and communicate findings clearly.

Required Skills

  • Basic laboratory techniques (e.g., pipetting, sterile technique, solution preparation)
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy in all tasks
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills
  • Proficiency in basic computer applications (e.g., Microsoft Office Suite)
  • Ability to follow written and verbal instructions precisely
  • Effective communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Commitment to safety protocols and ethical research practices

Preferred Qualifications

  • Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Biology, Chemistry, Biochemistry, or a related scientific field.
