Key Responsibilities
- Prepare laboratory samples, reagents, and media according to standard operating procedures (SOPs).
- Perform routine laboratory tasks such as equipment calibration, cleaning, and maintenance.
- Assist senior researchers in setting up and executing experiments, including data collection and preliminary analysis.
- Maintain accurate and detailed records of experiments, observations, and results in laboratory notebooks and digital systems.
- Adhere strictly to all laboratory safety regulations, quality control standards, and sterile techniques.
- Manage laboratory inventory, including ordering supplies and ensuring proper stock rotation.
- Troubleshoot minor equipment issues and report more complex problems to senior staff.
- Contribute to maintaining a clean, organized, and efficient laboratory workspace.
- Participate in team meetings and actively engage in discussions regarding project progress and experimental design.
Required Skills
- Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Biology, Chemistry, Biochemistry, Medical Technology, or a related scientific field.
- Familiarity with basic laboratory techniques and equipment (e.g., pipetting, microscopy, pH meters, centrifuges).
- Strong attention to detail and excellent organizational skills.
- Ability to follow written and verbal instructions precisely.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel) for data entry and documentation.
