Key Responsibilities
- Perform routine laboratory experiments and tests accurately and efficiently following established protocols and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
- Prepare reagents, media, and samples for various experimental procedures, ensuring proper labeling and storage.
- Operate and maintain laboratory equipment, including calibration, troubleshooting minor issues, and coordinating repairs when necessary.
- Accurately record and document experimental data, observations, and results in laboratory notebooks and electronic systems.
- Assist senior researchers in the setup and execution of more complex experimental procedures and data analysis.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe laboratory environment, adhering strictly to all safety guidelines and regulatory requirements.
- Monitor inventory of lab supplies and reagents, assisting with ordering and stocking as needed to ensure continuous operations.
- Conduct basic statistical analysis of experimental data and prepare summary reports as requested.
- Participate in team meetings and contribute to scientific discussions, offering insights and learning from experienced colleagues.
- Support quality control processes by ensuring that all work meets the highest standards of accuracy and reliability.
Required Skills
- Associate's or Bachelor's degree in a scientific field (e.g., Biology, Chemistry, Biochemistry, Biomedical Science, or related discipline).
- Fundamental understanding of laboratory safety procedures and best practices.
- Proficiency in basic laboratory techniques (e.g., pipetting, solution preparation, sterile technique).
- Strong attention to detail and a commitment to producing accurate and reliable results.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills.
- Ability to follow written and verbal instructions precisely.
- Basic computer proficiency, including familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel).
- Effective communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team environment.
Preferred Qualifications
