Key Responsibilities
- Perform routine laboratory tests, analyses, and experiments accurately and efficiently under supervision.
- Prepare reagents, solutions, media, and samples according to established protocols.
- Maintain meticulous and organized records of all experimental procedures, data, and observations.
- Operate, calibrate, and perform basic troubleshooting on laboratory equipment and instruments.
- Assist senior scientists and researchers in the setup and execution of complex experiments.
- Adhere strictly to all laboratory safety protocols, quality control standards, and Good Laboratory Practices (GLP).
- Clean, sterilize, and maintain laboratory instruments, glassware, and the general workspace.
- Monitor inventory of supplies and reagents, and assist with ordering and stock management.
- Participate actively in team meetings, training sessions, and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Contribute to the upkeep of a safe, clean, and organized laboratory environment.
Required Skills
- Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Chemistry, Biology, Biotechnology, or a related scientific field.
- Demonstrated foundational knowledge of basic laboratory principles and techniques.
- Exceptional attention to detail and precision in execution of tasks.
- Ability to accurately follow written and verbal instructions and protocols.
- Strong organizational skills and ability to maintain thorough, legible records.
- Basic proficiency with computer applications, particularly Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel).
- Effective verbal and written communication skills.
- Proven ability to work collaboratively and effectively within a team.
