Key Responsibilities
- Perform routine laboratory experiments and tests under supervision, following established protocols and safety guidelines.
- Prepare chemical reagents, solutions, and media with accuracy and precision.
- Maintain, calibrate, and troubleshoot laboratory equipment, ensuring optimal functionality and cleanliness.
- Accurately record and document experimental data, observations, and results in laboratory notebooks and digital systems.
- Assist senior researchers in the setup and execution of more complex experimental procedures.
- Manage laboratory inventory, including ordering supplies, receiving shipments, and organizing stock.
- Ensure strict adherence to all health, safety, and environmental regulations and best practices.
- Conduct literature reviews and assist in data analysis as required.
- Contribute to the general upkeep and organization of the laboratory space.
- Participate in team meetings and contribute to discussions regarding experimental design and results.
Required Skills
- Associate's degree or Diploma in a scientific discipline (e.g., Chemistry, Biology, Biochemistry, Medical Technology, or related field).
- Basic understanding of general laboratory techniques and safety procedures.
- Proficiency in using standard laboratory equipment (e.g., pipettes, pH meters, centrifuges).
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in experimental execution and data recording.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills.
- Ability to follow written and verbal instructions precisely.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
